Do we post every release of every software now without even explaining what it is or why this release is interesting?

I do agree, if it’s not in its own community a short explanation of what it is would be great.

Personally, I like it when people post new releases. I get to look at what people are running and figure out if it’s a good fit for me. It also gives people an opportunity to post should they encounter any problems upgrading. But I shan’t bother again.
I am not against these postings. But is should at least explain in a few key words what the software even is.
Please refrain from posting without explaining. That’s reddit style and its considered rude here.
