This is just another blatant propaganda campaign by China. The government in Beijing obscures its domestic supply chains, and there is much evidence for grave human rights violations and crimes against humanity in China, particularly in Xinjiang and Tibet.

China’s Ministry of Commerce said Tuesday that PVH Corp. must provide documentation and evidence within 30 days to show it did not engage in discriminatory practices
That’s one way of saying they want this US company to provide proof they don’t comply with US sanctions.
I don’t understand what they’re realistically hoping for. Forcing them to pick between operating in the US or operating in China?
At least this is putting a spotlight on the genocide of Uyghurs.
The US government banning anything based on suspected use of forced labor is laughable. Pretty blatantly anti-China, and very hypocritical when a lot of US states use glorified slave labor. It is quicker to name the large US companies that don’t use prison labor than the ones that do.
All fair points but it doesn’t excuse China’s abuse within Xinjiang
China should start santioning US companies… The lols would be good at least
