    Is this what we’re gonna hear all season? To be expected when we lose a match, lucky if we win?

      While we’re famous for 1-0 to the Arsenal, back then we would score early and lock up shop. At the moment, we’re just struggling to create chances. What Jamie said isn’t unreasonable. We can be far more convincing than we presently play.

        We can be, but defence wins titles. And we’ve not even been that bad in terms of goals scored overall. Not nearly as good, sure, but there’s a reason we’re in first.

          I think even the most blinkered fan would agree that we’ve yet to hit our stride. If Odegaard can find form and pull the strings, it should improve. I’d much rather a free-flowing second half of the season than watch us fizzle out again.

          If our ppg doesn’t beat 90 we can’t expect to win, and we could reasonably have less points than we do. I think that’s the gist of what Carra is trying to say.

    @9point6

    It’s bait. Criticizing Arsenal will get a lot more views and engagement.

    Compare to Jonathan Wilson in the Guardian:

    https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/nov/27/arsenal-premier-league-title

    “perhaps the greatest reason for Arsenal to feel optimistic is that last season it felt they had to play at their maximum just to stay in the race; this season, they are top of the table with a sense of more to come.”

    Similarly, the Arsenal Vision pod pointed out that facing more low blocks forces us to play in a less fluid/exciting way.
