It’s amazing. Super easy to clean and it lasts forever. We just upgraded one that was 10 years old. I did a major clean on it and gave to my parents. Still works.

I’ve had a LR3 for about 8 years. It was $500 back then too. Still works really well. Sometimes I have to replace parts, but the maintenance is fairly simple and Whisker has YouTube videos for how to do everything. Still highly recommended. Worth every penny.

Our friends have something similar. The biggest up side besides the obvious is that your house doesn’t reek of shit/litter. The smell is so much more reduced.

I have a litter robot from whisker (version 4) and I fucking LOVE it!! So does my kitty, reduced smell always clean for him, etc. incredibly easy to empty it as well, which you don’t have to do all that often but the app is always there so you can check or get an alert

My daughter has one for her cat and from what I hear, it’s a hit. I almost tried it out myself when I visited, lol. She’s very picky about keeping her place clean and tidy, and has been really happy with this. I did point out to her that I have purchased vehicles for less, but hey, she makes the money.

Get one. My wife and I used to have friction about who’s turn it was to clean the multiple cat boxes. We would go out of town and come back to a house that smelled like dirt cat box. now I just empty the bin twice a week and add a scoop of fresh litter. Takes five minutes, tops. Doesn’t matter how long we’re gone, the smell is contained.

You need to clean the dome every few months but that’s fairly easy too if you have a hose and a sprayer attachment. The worst part is just that it takes a long time to dry.
