so they embeded a separate launcher?? welp, it’s also not necessary, the EOS backend does not need the Epic launcher. As far as I know, the only cross platform/cross play back end is EOS. Sony have their own PC/PSN cross play in example of Helldivers 2. Capcom have their backend and the up coming Monster Hunter Wild is their first title to support cross play. (it was always separated in their past games.) Some big Chinese/Korean dev have their proprietary cross platform backend to support their mobile/console/PC games. (like Genshin)
If you do know any 3rd party cross play back end service please let me know.
Steam backend are not cross play ready for consoles, EOS backend can.

I am not good in that hardware emu branch but my guess is that they pick something that can drive and matches original clock speed as the old programmable rom was no longer produced. (the antique people would buy old broken ones and rip parts off them or try to restore them.)
From look at the board, basically it looks like they did the “hardware” emu approach. But people I know that enjoy retro stuff they either want the look(original or replica case/keyboard, but internal is more modern that runs software emu) or they want the antique(functional original). It’s pretty rare to see these kinda of hardware emu where they bundle chips as close to old ones while trying to replicate how the old hardware work and then drive with another modern board for the input/output.
One of the old Indy adventure game(Last Crusade) have that branch where you can shoot, fight or work around the airship boxing champ.
As long as they are still sending out flyers with stuff you buy you are okay. Also, if you already knew the price range of your regularly shopped goods, you know something is off. Superstore is already using digital tags. And you can just pull out your phone and take pictures.
Lastly, it should be put into law so you can’t increase price during the day. Going down is fine, but no going down and then going up again for peak hour. Stores can set whatever price they want to sell before opening. (for those non-regulated things)

Good for developers, that have decent enough games.

Exclusives, of course this is the expected result, because that how game publishing/marketing works. People in this thread talking like publishers make a lot of money on 80% of their released games. (<-- it’s not, in case you did not get it. ) I think it’s just Tim Sweeney’s way of saying, we will adjust our approach in the future, like what any publicly traded CEO would do.
If everything adapt the pc building modular approach we would be in a much better place, some of the replaceable components are already modular if you see the ifixit tear down, it’s just that the manufacturer spends more time trying to ruin your chance at properly open it without damage other parts. Same thing for many electronics, the opening part are the worst as you can damage the casing(crack the clips bent stuff, broke the ribbon etc) or some one way bs. Even opening a freaking hair dryer to clean up the internals is a challenge.
Exactly, without proper protection and equality for same performance/quality of work, it’s just pure exploitation.
okay, let me ask the real question:
It’s the end point modem+router. It’s like saying removing the landline phone from people’s house without destroy the exchange boxes would cripple communication. It’s not cause they are easily replaced.
It depends on how the studio signed the publishing contract and should they part ways, who owns the IP. But if the game loop is proven good and have fan base to sustain a studio, someone will take the torch if the game was shut by publisher.
Stellar Blade: It’s actually quite nice action play wise after I played the demo. And you get some eye candy + Nier style story plot I assume.
Starship Troopers: Extermination: The new 0.7 update gives something interesting to play with multiple classes, and ways to bring weapon to different class. I am having fun with it even though the overall jank/bug/balance and issues. Grinding class unlock only take about maybe 7-10 matches depending on your class of choice and game mode. And support class are actually quite important, missions success or fail pretty much relies on the classes to do their job. I wish they have more maps and game mode + more bug types to come before I got bore with it again.
the creations are really small if I remember correctly, they are like kilobytes or things put together in a container. (there are maximum objects limits for the creation as well. ) I don’t know the max amount of favorite you can keep though, haven’t played the ps3 ones for quite a while.
if you mean the dive then just standing medium kick with proper spacing, if you are on emu you can snap shot the match or add more token and just practice anti air if it jump and dive from mid distance.

If you only play old games for story mode, the CPU read inputs so you are gonna have a bad time anyway if you don’t exploit their tendencies. Don’t spam fire ball cause I think by the 2nd or 3rd match you start to getting jumped on. In fact, if you know how to do anti air(couch heavy punch from Ken) with proper timing you can beat the run pretty easily except char with command grab.
Like for CPU don’t even try complex input, read on internet for most basic punish(like empty jump in and then throw against zoner) cause throw is really high damage & strong in SF2. If you push them to wall then you do the light punch fireball with some distance to bait them to jump over then do your punish.
