This is some bullshit. Nintendo is claiming because they use prod.keys, it’s only purpose is piracy. Yuzu does not include the keys and people that own the games own the key.
By using these keys to decrypt the games they are circumventing anti-piracy measures which is already illegal in a lot of countries. Even if no actual piracy was involved, what they are doing with the prod.keys almost guarantees them a loss in court in all of the EU and North America.
Was Yuzu open source?
Yep
At least the source is out there then
How big or well funded is Tropic Haze?
Small enough this probably ends them
It seems that it does, in fact, end them.
They have the order to stop the development now.
They already deleted the repos.Just checked for this as I was going to go grab the latest for archiving. Anyone got a Linux build they’d be happy to share?
You can still grab the latest early access build here: https://github.com/pineappleEA/pineapple-src/releases
If it’s just the build you’re after, you could pull the latest from Flathub. Downside being that once it’s removed from Flathub it can’t be installed anywhere else unless you rebuild from source…
Any clean mirrors of the emulators from before it went down ?
