    He was embarrassed that he cheated on his pregnant wife and then, in order to win the election, he committed fraud to hide it. The 34 counts are about the fraud, not the cheating.

      He wasn’t embarrassed. He was afraid it would make him look bad enough to American voters that he would lose the election, and narcissists can’t handle being losers.
