“Join us for a #NintendoDirect livestream focused on #NintendoSwitch games coming in the second half of 2024! There will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation.”
Set to be roughly 40 minutes long.
Friendly reminder that the piracy of Nintendo games is not only always morally correct, but more importantly, it’s obligatory.
To add to this… game boy, gameboy color, and gameboy advance libraries all fit on a single 32GB SD card
you can fit snes on there too while ur at it, maybe DS as well
Nice!
I am once again asking for Metroid Prime 4 and a release date for Silksong.
Silksong has already had some kind of deal with Microsoft in place, so if it shows up on a platform holder’s stream rather than their own thing, it’s more likely they show up with Microsoft than Nintendo. Given that it got content rated already, it’s still due for a release this year, so maybe we hear about it with Gamescom.
Does it? The last time the game was shown was in a Nintendo event 5 years ago.
No, it showed up at an Xbox showcase in 2022, where every game was going to be on Game Pass day 1 and releasing within 12 months, which would have meant the game would be out by June 2023. Silksong wasn’t the only game that missed that 12 month window, but it showed that, at the time, they were confident that it was nearly done, and that they took a deal with Microsoft, because being on Game Pass day 1 means Microsoft offered them a huge bucket of money to make up for lost sales.
Ahhh, you’re right. I forgot about that Xbox showcase. I also remember when the Xbox twitter account confirmed the game was coming 2023…
Nintendo execs: No.
Even if they give a release date for silksong I doubt its gonna be released at the said date given their track record.
This is the Direct where they announce Twilight Princess and Wind Waker for the Switch. I can feel it! I wish they would, but I’m not holding my breath.
There have been rumors of a 2D Zelda too, so I have a feeling we see Zelda in this direct in some form.
Yeah, if I remember correctly they’ve said they’ve been working on or have completed a remastered Oracle of Ages/Seasons in the style of Link’s Awakening.
Ok, that one might catch my interest.
Interesting twist we got today
I agree! I thought it was A Link to the Past or the Oracle games remastered in the Link’s Awakening style. I didn’t think we’d ever get a game where we played as Zelda!
I waited for years for them to release them on the switch and I finally just emulated them on the steam deck. Not sure why Nintendo doesn’t want my money
WindWaker feels very possible, there was already a remake for Wii U. Not sure why they never ported it over.
I have WW and TP on Wii U, but I rarely play my Wii U.
It was a remaster
Inb4 GameCube games on the switch 8 years too late
The more I hear that they won’t announce the Switch 2 the more I think they will.
Yeah, that is exactly what somebody who is planning to announce Switch 2 would say.
Eh, if there’s no announcement, I can’t be bothered. As of late, the Switch has been showing its age to me. I don’t want to buy games for out of date hardware; I will play the games that I own, but not buy another game until Nintendo gets vastly improved hardware out there.
You think they’re going to vastly improve it though? My impression is they’ll do some kind of gimmick again. I could be wrong though.
Honestly, I’d accept something much better but not a massive upgrade. The thing enough power under the hood to make it easier for devs to port their games. Making the Switch an attractive choice and for games to run smoothly on their handheld/console. I would prefer Nintendo bring back home consoles, as it would be easier to make a strong performer.
My hope is that they make a true contender, however, this might not be Nintendo’s plan. They very well may choose to make another gimmick; perhaps Nintendo will refine a gimmick this time with their next hardware release?
I doubt they will. Ninendo is not fighting with PS and Xbox, and it surely has no reason to fight with Steam Deck and other powerful portables. They found their market, and they are extremely successful at what they are doing. One does not need super hardware to create wonderful games.
ResetERA…no thanks.
Ehh, I know it’s not the original source, but I saw it there. Then it was either link to that or Twitter.
