    The majority of english-speaking Lemmy users are from the US. Sadly, they think that they are the onle ones. More importantly, they think that US politics is important to everyone outside of the US.

        It does affect other countries but not to the extent that people in the US think. The whole english internet is full of random election articles and posts. Yet in German news for example, barely anyone even mentions the US election. Harris is a new candidate and she now has a vice president. That’s pretty much the whole news of the entire month. It’s a side-quote. It’s really not that important.

            This arrogance of some Americans is astonishing. You enjoy playing world police but you have no rights to force it on others especially when it’s not even related to the discussion. Literally don’t care where you spend your GDP. We spend it on the people, you spend it elsewhere. I don’t judge you if you stop judging us. We don’t spam European news on you but you should really read it anyways because I feel like you have a gap in your education.
