Not being a Debbie downer but what’s good/different about this launcher?
You can remove the Google search bar and replace it with the one of your choice.
That was honestly the only thing i needed from a launcher when i got my pixel 6a two years ago, but there is so much more to it as i later discovered. All the tweaking that is possible on top of the (very good) pixel launcher, which it was built upon but had this one flaw.
Same here. I literally swapped to Lawnchair to get rid of Google search from my home screen.
Unfortunately it doesn’t support Private Space yet.
Feels somewhat close to the Pixel launcher, with icon packs support, with a couple of extra features and doesn’t belong to a company that is trying to monetize it to hell.
I still can’t believe Samsung now supports icon packs but pixel launcher still doesn’t
Isn’t it possible to install an icon pack and apply it to the launcher? Here’s an icon pack I use.

Dumb question, I’ve been using Nova launcher since forever but I think there was some drama recently about it being acquired. Is that the major difference between it and lawn chair?
One of them. The other is that this is open source which has certain implications that don’t exist exist for Nova.
