Is there a racist conspiracy to keep Haiti in ruins?
Haiti in the 18th century was a slave island. People like You and I were kidnapped and then forced to work under such grueling conditions that most died within 8 years.
Haiti however freed itself from the yoke of Napoleon Bonaparte and France. A slave army that defeated one of the most capable Generals/Strategists in history.
Is there currently or in the past a understanding among white countries to destroy Haiti as revenge of their audacity to free themselves?

To be blunt, I’ve seen this kind of hatemongering before. This is how Fox News’ talking heads sound. They make some points and acknowledge current issues, but they also blame everyone else for all of it and talk like there’s a grand conspiracy against you, often with racially charged language and racist dog whistles. For example, the author mentions corruption a few times, but immediately deflects away and rants about white people each time. That’s a classic. Just replace ‘white people’ with ‘the gays,’ ‘the communists,’ ‘the liberals,’ ‘illegal aliens,’ or whatever the current right-wing bogeyman is and you’ve got the exact same shit. They want you angry, they want you pissed off, and it works because, to some extent, they have a point, but they’re also making you look away from what’s actually happening right now and making sure you’re afraid of some ‘other’ that probably actually isn’t doing anything. Take a look at that corruption they’re making you look away from. I’ll bet it has fuck all to do with their chosen bogeyman.
I usually try to think of a way forward. Like, what would happen if Haiti gets their demand, and France and the Citibank together agree to pay back $21 billion dollars and then some for interest.
Would that help Haiti out of poverty? In a state where corruption is widespread, we can safely assume that, no, it would not. It would be pocketed away by a few rich people and their families, who would then be a good deal richer, and the country would still not have a good educational as a basis for future prosperity. It would maybe have one or two more hospitals, but overall still not have a medical system that helps bring down child mortality for the foreseeable future. Or a judicial system that brings justice to those who were robbed of money.
And, after understanding all the historical injustices and anger, if we find that the proposed solution would not be a solution at all, we will bring our attention to the next thing.
