Here is Microsoft’s stock performance over the whole last month: Steadily rising the entire time. It’s hard to say if this did anything for MSFT in the end. Natella did look really smart for about a day. But now he’s got to carry on as, supposedly, OpenAI’s biggest investor and corporate sponsor. But he just tried to basically steal the company. Granted, it was only because of the stupidity of OpenAI’s board, which was an unforced error and not Natella’s doing.
Well, this little episode will make their relationship to 49% shareholder Microsoft more… interesting.
