Spreading the word of IEC units: it’s “1.46 TiB” and “200 MiB” btw.

I use btop btw.
Have you heard of our lord and savior Typst?
Those are rookie numbers!
It’s literally there at the bottom.
What isn’t valid is MacOS, it’s macOS now.
Ooh, snap!
It is? Weird. I know about deprecated backticks, but this… I guess it’s so deprecated that very few people know about this. Now a bit more.
Akchooly, what you’re referring to as terabyte (TB) is called tebibyte (TiB), because window$ suck and JADEC made everyone believe that binary units are metric units, which is stupid. But we have the savior IEC which KDE is using in all of their software and I respect that.
Oh, no, it’s Patrick (tingping). He is very stubborn and doesn’t listen to reason. https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak/issues/5504
I really wished that he didn’t participate in the XDG problem, but he did. Then the IEC issue is probably also be screwed in the end.
Matrix room? Where? There is no official Matrix space.
I agree, I hate discord, but that’s where everybody is messaging, including authors. BTW, we had a “community call” a few days ago in the discord. It’s a monthly thing.
Flatpak doesn’t conform to the XDG home directory, and that upsets me. Also we have an ongoing dispute between SI and IEC units on their GitHub. But I like it otherwise.
Glad you’ve made the switch! If you want, you can hop into the discord server.
No, but you can allow read only access to your document on typst.app and you can collaborate with it too.
What’s “custom layout tables”? Anyway, I now only play https://typst.app card, because I don’t use LO Writer anymore, only LO Calc for some stuff. Typst has a ton of scripting capability and granular customization, so it will probably beat your “custom layout tables” by a mile kilometer!
Typst is the future for document creation. Mark my words.
Framework have support for everything, including the built-in fingerprint sensor. So I think my next laptop will be this.
Megahard sounds way cooler than Microsoft.
Yeah, that why IEC units carry only one meansing. It’s all that stupid JEDEC that standardized SI units to binary multiples. Dumbest shit I’ve ever seen.
