My workmate literally used copilot to fix a mistake in our websocket implementation today.
It made one line of change… turned it it made the problem worse

Probably same reason as here in Australia.
The gas companies have managed to create a multifaceted cult where they’ve brainwashed people into thinking electricity is unclean (despite things like heat pumps being 500% efficient), unreliable and expensive.
Also, it helps that people who paid too much for their ICE cars are scared and they know that their cars will increasingly drop in value as people transition away from gas and fossil fuels.
I hope you need a 500mb driver to use it too with an installer that pops up every reboot, even if you press cancel.
Otherwise, it’s clear that it fails at being a mouse
I don’t think so. Maybe I’m missing something?
I just didn’t 20 hours so far on it
What I don’t like is that you need to finish the day for it to save
Also the wording about what happens to crops at the end of season should change
But otherwise, it’s something to do, but it is getting a bit click and pointy really. I wish you should pair up with characters more and walk around with then
Last Egyptian one I went to was super expensive and you couldn’t take photos. Furthermore, lots of waiting.
I only go to the free sections at the ngv now
If you’re going to make your system worse, you should also combine with Norton anti virus too.
Either that, or just use the Microsoft one that is free
Can we talk about the enshittifation of Lemmy. Where everyone seems to be calling everything enshittified?
I’m mainly seeing people who love using the word “enshittifation”.
It reminds me of the time the kids learned the word “snowflake”
Bonus points to those who have a hissy fit after someone responds to the claim and to those who say “trust me” after you claim it’s ridiculous
Lemmy has gotten to the point everything is getting classed as enshittification or whatever
It’s actually getting crappy being here
Like the whole section about macos. Apple constantly screws developers, and somehow, the author has seemed to blame Valve lol. There’s a lot of reason lots of people don’t develop for Mac, and they’re mostly valid rather than political
Or GitHub. In the real world, developers don’t have any issues. Only in Lemmy, where people are even focusing on stupid things, so a barely visible unobtrusive sentence on a table mentions copilot lol
There’s a lot of asbestos out there. They can’t really be expected to test literally everything for asbestos imho.
This is probably yet another case caused by the dodgy building industry
When I bought my house, I asked about asbestos, and the building inspector missed a lot of it, and the real estate agent claimed there was none. There was lots
Every time I hear someone say AI, I know for sure they have no idea what they’re talking about and are about to grift people
When I watched the Simpsons at the cinema, their 45mins of stupid pre movie ads literally spoiled every joke in the movie (except the skateboard ride).
They’re not cheap, you can’t pause the movie, and it’s more expensive than even the current overpriced subscriptions
Here in Australian even, tried to donate stuff, and was loading things up, then was told they only accepted clothing that weekend. So had to reload it all back into my car.
Then they said they didn’t want my pots and such.
At least here in Australia, they don’t care about any donations unless they can sell it (they don’t seem to care about actually giving anything less sellable to the poor for free).
They’re not even selling the stuff for cheap either (so its bad for the poor too)
Started giving away a lot of it on Facebook for free… Was extremely painless. And the savers nearby also had no issues accepting a lot of it too.
Never going back there. They suck for donations, for buying they’re too expensive too.
The Brother laser printers are awesome honestly. I own one too. Very cheap, and cheap enough to operate. If I want color, I go get it professionally printed (and professional photo printing STILL costs less than inkjets and their cartridges)
For me, the Joycons feel really cheap. I don’t have a switch though.
Also, was unimpressed by the way Nintendo treated Wii U and wii customers (I had both)
Unless it has gotten better, the joy cons on these things always fail. That’s 1 reason I never got one
Even if the games run, the joy cons will likely not last long before drifting
Absolutely…
Actually, my friends power AND Gas is offline still at the moment… Which goes to show that Electric really is the way forward regardless,
And some of the coal power plants were offline too, so anyone saying “good old reliable coal”, well, it is not lol
Really looking forward to seeing more microgrid stuff maybe with batteries to stabilise the grid too
I actually disagree. I feel it’s best to use for languages you’re good with, because it tends to introduce very subtle bugs which can be very difficult to debug, and code which looks accurate about isn’t. If you’re not totally familiar with the language, it can be even harder
