Fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk… Point 1…no wonder…
Fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk… Point 1…no wonder…
They’ve announced they’re working on exactly that.
My Ubuntu on a SBC for a workshop just killed itself on Monday. Had it for a few months, new SBC, fresh Ubuntu install, 0 customization, just using it occasionally for Chromium. It popped up a new version -Minotaur or something- was out, so I said sure upgrade. It gave an error for bash near the end, then bricked itself. Now i gotta dig out SD cards and find a new distro.
Fuck Ubuntu. Ends in misery every single time.
And no I don’t want any recommendations.
Fix multi monitor support, and windows opening up where ever the hell they want, and whatever size they want. I don’t want to have to make a rule for every single thing I use to apply initially size and position. 1/2 the time those don’t work anyways.
“Meanwhile, poor countries are struggling to raise the estimated $1tn (£785bn) a year of external finance needed to help them cut emissions and cope with the impacts of the climate crisis.”
It felt so sad to read this.
“We have determined that we’ll be able to fill 80% of the user’s display with advertising before inducing seizures.”
From Ready Player One movie.
Fingers crossed for Tidal, since its made by a bunch of musicians, I think Jay Z is the big one. They actually pay the artists a decent amount, and lowered MOST everyone’s price and upgraded the their quality, so taking a big hit of hopium they’re good enough to not go to shit.
As an audiophile it’s like, way less exhausting to just go with Tidal, over pirating good quality music. Especially if you’re like me and listen to nearly anything and everything.
Tell that to Google before they replaced the long standing head of its search engine, with the head of advertising.
This reminds me of the old gpt2 and 3 subreddits, before this “AI” boom, and no one had ever heard of GPT. Every subreddit was condensed to a single user, with the GPT trained on only that sub. So you’d have things like TIL-GPT makes a post in the GPT3 subreddit: “TIL you can…” and a full comment section from from GPT users like Movies-GPT, WorldNews-GPT, PCMasterRace-GPT, etc.
Reading through them had the chance to be wild. When the posts would make just barely enough sense, but random enough to be unhinged.
I don’t know how much was automated, or if people would toggle runs of X amount of new posts, or what. But eventually people made subreddits for posting screenshots of the best GPT’s talking to each other.
You could always see patterns and then go to the real sub, and see how accurate they were. GPTs from gaming subreddits unironically posting circlejerks, from conservative subs being lowkey racist, etc.
If you share your water or electricity with a neighbor, I think they can cut you off and/or fine you. Probably dependent on the state?
To me, this reads like it implies that government and govt programs are bad because of the govt employees, but if you were to take those same “corrupt” politicians and put them to work at private companies that they would stop being “corrupt.” Like it is a belief/reaction to one specific bad instance of a large government/program. “The government sucks at program X, so if we get rid of that program, the same general population will gain empathy, morals and efficiency if working for a company to run program X.”
Lmao, I thought the same thing. IIRC for Android 15, one of the features I read about, was better portrait & landscape support.
What’s wild to me is they’re making their own overlay for their PC games. Ghost of Tsushima is supposed to be the first release title with it. Do they not understand steam already has an overlay? I feel like 2 overlays would just compete and be obnoxious and possibly ever impact performance.
Also, why? If it is for co-op crossplay, just make linking PSN to Steam optional, and state it is needed for inviting/grouping with any PS5 friends. Then do what every other multiplatform game does and show 2 friends list in the game.
Steam only removes games from the store, and doesn’t remove games from anyone’s library. Those affected people, if they didn’t refund, will still have HD2 in their library. There is also never install restrictions/blocking.
If you go to it’s steam install folder: Hell Divers 2 -> tools -> GGSetup.exe and gguninst.exe
Their explanation for it makes sense though. They were running into the problem that a player could cheat and progress their games faster, etc. Since HD2 is essentially a MASSIVE, single DnD campaign that every player is a part of, those cheaters would break the campaign progress and ruin it for every single other player.
They also include shortcuts to install and uninstall only the anticheat. So you can remove it immediately once you finish playing.
Riot’s Vanguard is the only one that needs to start with boot, and always run in the background. Others can initialize and close when the game is done, IIRC. Which is why they can work with proton/wine.
To be fair, if they were typical RBG mouse and keyboard, and you used the brands software to change their settings, it blocked that software. Those programs were absolute dog shit in terms of security. I have no idea if it forced them to make better software, or Riot just started to allow them. Regardless it’s all pointless because Vanguard has been defeated. Imagine making ring 0 anticheat that loads on boot, and it still isn’t good enough, fucking LoL pun intended.
The new Godzilla Minus 1 movie actually goes over this, >!they even use it against Godzilla to try and defeat him.!<
