I never use Ookla for this reason. I use the Google speed test here in the states.

The situation here is very, very unique. The state is a swing state that has been trending slowly Democratic. When the AZ Supreme Court ruling came out, Democrats began salivating at the thought of a gigantic turnout for the pro abortion ballot initiative. Any smart GOP politician in the state began to shit their pants because abortion rights ballot initiatives could surge the Democratic turnout in all the state political races and could turn AZ dark blue based on this one single issue. The writing is on the wall though… AZ will be a blue state, but it’s not going to happen quickly as long as the GOP doesn’t piss off the state with unpopular policies.
Every doctor I’ve had as an adult, except my university health center doctor and planned parenthood doctor, has been hesitant towards my “gay” care. Things like saying I have multiple sexual partners make them wince when I say I want to be tested for STDs on a regular basis. Only my gay friendly providers offered me an anal exam when I said I was generally the receptive partner (to check for warts, hemorrhoids, sores, etc).
I was generally considering getting a model Y, but learned that they can’t be exported overseas and still don’t have CarPlay and Android auto. Not to mention that it’s seemingly impossible to get an insurance quote without buying the car first??? Sorry, I’m going with another company.
Hey hey hey, you can get to the popup abortion clinic in Blythe from downtown in 2h18 👍🏽
As someone with 20 years horseback riding in the wilderness, I’ve come to enjoy a joint while out there. While I don’t recommend it by any means,I think it’s very much entirely possible to be buzzed on cannabis and still be safe. 1 joint is like 1 beer with a meal for me.
reporting in from Pima County, AZ:
We’re generally just shy here in Pima County of a 60/40 democratic lean. On the ground it feels like more and more people from Cali are moving in and voting blue all the way down ballot. Biden himself isn’t very popular, but the Democratic policies are however very popular. I’m in my 30s, and nearly 60% of the people I know are voting blue, with people in Phoenix seemingly trending more blue since 2020. A down ballot abortion issue (it looks like it’ll make the ballot in November) will absolutely cause a surge that will push the election over the edge as I know how pro-abortion most people are here. The Democratic Party here is running canvassing and getting people involved; I feel cautiously optimistic about us going blue again this cycle.

So this SOC benchmarks on par with AMD’s best integrated GPU? On par with the M3, but not the M3 Pro/Max. If I’m going to switch to Windows, I’m not going to buy a less powerful PC that’s less capable than an AMD unit with a discreet GPU lmao. Call me when these are on par with 4080/4090 lol.
just be prepared that the “default” YouTube recommendations are all clickbait + Mr. Beast + whatever fad is going around. The default recommendations are really really bad.
there’s really no such thing
I switched to Bitwarden after 1Password moved to electron and booted selfhosters off the app and into their sub model. Jesus Christ is the current Bitwarden UI bad. It’s easily the worst looking application on my phone that isn’t a banking app; I’ve had zero issues with the functionality though.
I do a job where my hands are potentially full and I cannot touch my phone for extended periods of time. I use the assistant for as much as it will let me…
here in the US in my situation it boils down to my parents/grandparents not being able to understand the difference between any texting application. I’m fine using SMS/iMessage because I know everyone has it. I’d say the vast majority of non-technologically savvy people I know are incapable or unsure how to use the basic functions of their phone (very few people I know in this category use their phone for anything else but calls, texts, and the web browser; everything else is just unused for either lack of understanding or lack of interest).
As much as I would hate it, I’d consider strategically voting against her, definitely in a primary election, for sure in a general election just to get rid of her. Fuck her.
KDE Connect is something I keep my eye on and check in every once in a while: Is there a dedicated page tracking updates specifically to KDE Connect? I’m really very much looking forward to a time where it is feature compete with Android compared to Apple’s continuity platform. I would absolutely love to move to Android+Linux as my daily drivers, but I feel like I’m giving up on too much by leaving the Apple ecosystem.
Does Connect use BTLE?
Could you guys implement an auto tethering option between phone/PC?
How instant are notifications synced? Do notifications disappear on one side or the other when viewed on one or the other platform?
Maybe implement a “link to KDE” notification toggle to mirror the “link to windows” functionality of Android?
I was like 5: I typed in yahoo.com, searched “pop” because it was the only word I could think of at that moment.
Earliest interesting thing: I played the old flash game where you get X-ray glasses and you look at people’s junk when I was like 6.
on T-Mobile USA: I preordered my iPhone 15; the QR eSIM and automated SIM transfer system was completely down and I had to spend 30 minutes to an hour on the phone with customer service to swap over my physical SIM to an eSIM I could type (IIRC) into my new phone.
It really confuses me why people would want to play a competitive video game that is balanced around profit. Riot openly admits to buffing and nerfing based on skin sales and champion releases.
I fundamentally don’t understand why innocent photos of you as a child are a bad thing.
