Who cares? How about efficiency. Work done per watt?
We don’t need a mobile phone as powerful as a laptop. We need a phone that lasts for longer with normal tasks.

It’s just a PR cover because he knows as one of the richest people in the world on paper, he could pretty much get away with murder.
Police protect capital. Legal system protects capital.
Orange pi zero 3, 1.5GB. plenty for pihole and 30€ instead of 100€ or whatever bullshit RPI is charging these days.
I mean China definitely does it.
Tibeten “re-education” anyone? They stole the playbook for Tibet right from america dealing with native Americans, but with a little less outright killing. Uyghurs is less language genocide and more actual genocide and concentration/slave camps.
America did it and does it with native americans. Americans did it with literally every single group that came into the country with their whole “English isn’t our official language but you better speak English or be ostracized” through its history.
Literally every nation has tried at one point.
I am pretty sure language erasure is not “a form of genocide”, but “a component of recognizing genocide” or something that states thag commit genocide commonly do. I have looked at a bunch of definitions and genocide definition seems to always involve actually killing people:
any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.[3]
My point was that every nation does it simply because of nationalism and ease of administration. Governments already run bad enough without having to keep 25 running translations of every document.
Oof, France has been committing genocide for hundreds of years then lol.
It has been trying to eradicate all regional languages outside of Parisian France for a long time now and still refuses to sign the European Charter for Minority and Regional Languages. Only recently did they start recognizing them and not banning the use of them.

Capitalists making use of and profiting from socialist programs and structure is a tale as old as capitalism.
Pharma as an example. Crowdsourced research, government funding with money from the people only to be bought by a capitalist corpo where they do the last 10% of the work by industrialization, jack up the price by 1000x, and take 100% of the profits and don’t even pay back their fair share in taxes, and then get a state-sponsered monopoly for an outrageous period.
I disagree with 5.
I am an electronics engineer, so admittedly only ever worked with C and Python scripting (and not a programmer by any means) but I literally stopped learning rust for embedded because every single tooling setup step was wrong or failed for both chips I was testing out (NRF chip and an esp32-C3). Maybe only embedded rust was still a mess tooling-wise, but I have no use case for learning userspace rust first. It would just be a waste of my limited free time 😅
But piracy is a product of their free market, don’t they want their mythical free market to be a free market?
Or maybe that was always just bullshit and they rely on using their money to suppress competition while they deliver a terrible, inferior product.
OK that is fair, though that is not self hosted…
VPS machines are a completely different beast than self hosting. But I guess I only said home use, not specifically self-hosting though we are in a self-hosted community. There are 1000 guides for setting up a VPN on your home network.
To be fair, if something is open by default or very easy to enable without informing about the risks, tons of people will have it exposed without thinking.
It isn’t that “tons of people do it so it is normal and perfectly fine” but more “people don’t realize.” It also uses some nontrivial amount of resources to process and block those attempts, even if they never have a chance of getting in.
There is yet a reason I can find to have it forwarded for home use. Need to ssh into a machine to fix it? VPN.
There are plenty of secure web-based tools to manage your server without a VPN also.
“DOJ is corrupt but also police can do no wrong, let’s give them tanks, until they are forced to be against our riots and then they are bad again, but only until we start saying that the riots weren’t us and was the deep state actors, then they never did anything wrong”
Google keep used to (don’t use it anymore) store your notes “backed up” by email. You could view all your notes in gmail.
Maybe it was something like that?
The steam controller is absolutely my favorite shape and feel for the controller.
The one big flaw is the plastic bumper mechanism that has broken on 3 of my units, 1 I was able to send back, 1 replaced with PETG 3D printed part which is less clicky, but more durable, and 1 still intact.
Still, I have exclusively used those for years when not playing on Switch
Opensuse Kalpa KDE Wayland the internet access blocked and it is a terrorist org if you want a hug 😅 sorry it has been very busy
Dutch doesn’t autocomplete sentences, just spellcheck
Sadly it doesn’t work almost at all with the *arr suite even with flaresolverr.
I have had to move mainly to the small private tracker and knaben because torrentgalaxy and 1337x both stopped working in prowlarr because they had to up their bot fighting game…
Does inkscape have diagram connecting? One of the best draw.io features is the wide array of premade shapes, styles, and auto connecting for flow visualization
But exactly, that is the difference between a drill and spinning sharp metal at high speeds.
If a drill breaks, it isn’t going to send shards of metal-cutting fiber disc 20 meters per second at your face.
If a saw sucks ass like the one I used a few days ago, you can’t safely cut through wood and you end up doing dangerous things like putting your body weight on the top of the miter saw to get it down all the way, gripping the piece closer to the blade to try to get it to cut better with less tear out or to not slip, etc… which can easily lead to a finger being cut off. It is MUCH more expensive in the US especially to have to deal with a dismembered finger than the cost difference between a chinese amazon $100 miter saw and $200 entry level 10 inch dewalt.
There are a ton of people who can’t afford that. That is fine. Then spend $100 on good quality assorted hand saws. a $40 japanese pull saw, $30 for a Spear & Jackson hand saw, $40 for a pair of bacco chisels, and an angle cut box and you can do a lot more than that $100 miter saw much more safely at the cost of it being at half the speed.
Sorry, but this only applies to drills and sanding machines. Maybe a bench grinder also you can cheap out on. Hand tools are fine to cheap out on also.
Circular saw, table saws, miter saws, angle grinders, etc…
Any spinning blade, if you cheap out, don’t be surprised if you get life-alteringly injured when you “use it enough to break it”. I was just helping some friends renovate where they had a dirt cheap miter saw and it was just about the most dangerous experience of my life.
If you are doing any big renovations, at least get makita, Milwaukee, or dewalt. You can get a TON of cheaper stuff second hand. Quality at a lower price. I got a professional older model hilti hammer drill at a tiny fraction of the price.
I live in Belgium. I think I count on 2 hands how many people I have seen with an iPhone, and I have a quite young workplace.
Surprising that apple is top. Literally every public place where you are where a phone rings or an alarm goes off, there is a 90% chance it is the default Samsung tone/alarm and almost everyone in the room immediately checks if it was theirs lol.
Yes but that whole line of a few years also suffered many breaking bugs from HMD like media sound being completely borked in an update and crackling and unusable for literally months before they fixed it. WhatsApp voice messages were hell for 4-5 months.
Or the USB port being so low quality that there were rampant replacements needed after as little as 6 months (my own 7.1 needed 5 replacement USB ports in the 2 years I used it. Never had that from a phone before or after)
Or the short battery life after an update second to only the HTC 10’s rapid battery drain bug.
The 2018-2019 HMD years were really rough for software as far as phone usability, plus the bad USB-C part number they continued using during that time.
Otherwise they were decent looking, decent performing, cheaper phones with bad cameras.
