What’s the point of that? Nintendo isn’t getting any money from that sale so from their perspective it’s literally no different from emulation.
If there is no legitimate means for you to purchase an original product from the company and give them your money then why the hell do they care if you’re emulating something they weren’t going to get money either way
It’s a common problem but the correct solution to closing vim is quite easy, press and hold control alt and F5 to drop to a new terminal. From there you can do “killall vim” to properly close vim, then just drop back to your main session
One big system to manage hvac, which needs to constantly work overtime because you built an insanely gigantic Greenhouse. To be fair that can be solved by simply not making the entire goddamn outer surface glass windows but that’s a different conversation
The part that pisses me off the most about this is that in states that have a very heavy amount of Renewables like let’s say California they are literally curtailing insane amounts of solar because there’s literally nowhere for them to put it.
Meanwhile they will simultaneously say they can’t do green hydrogen because it takes so much energy and isn’t super efficient, they will also say the same thing about desalination it needs too much energy where are they supposed to get it from. Motherfucker you are literally curtailing solar constantly just fucking dump it into one of those two things who cares if it’s not the most efficient 20% efficiency is better than 0% efficiency
(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
Yes you can get the emissions per equivalent kilowatt hour of both. Especially since there are many electric generators that are just using a car engine. And it’s a known fact that at least in terms of energy generation larger motors a better conversion rate of fuel to electricity and power plant Motors are quite a bit larger than most cars. Unfortunately I only really have my phone available to me at the moment and I’m a little busy so I don’t have time for much more than these quick replies but over the next couple days if I get a moment I will come reply to this again after finding the actual figures if you haven’t already found them yourself which please do reply to this with them if you find them
Yes, whether your electric plant is coal, natural gas, or honestly even if it was diesel. Larger engines are more efficient than smaller ones. It’s been a long time since I broke down the math over 10 years so my information is probably wildly out of date but even 10 years ago when you broke down the math charging an EV from a fossil fuel plant of any kind was still ultimately more efficient than a gas car in the long term.
Couple that with the ability of many EV now to also act as a battery for your house and that just goes wildly into the EVs favor if you utilize that for peak demand offset. Which many people could do easily even if it meant not having their battery fully charged in the morning when they go to leave for work because let’s face it very few people drive more than 60 miles full round trip in a day so even with their battery at say half they would have more than enough for their whole day plus extra.
The trick is to work for yourself instead of for someone else. This is what hobbies are for obviously those can be difficult to achieve under the current system of work for literally every goddamn fucking hour of your life other than sleep and eating but I assure you there is plenty of fulfillment to be found doing something for yourself and sometimes depending on what it is you find a passion for you can even turn it into a little side hustle job to make some extra money
Because jellyfin has less device compatibility, worse transcoding performance, and still struggles with media matching. Oh and still had memory leak issues.
I have it installed, regularly update and test it, i want to ditch plex. But it’s just got to many basic issues. Anime matching in particular is rough and yes even after adjusting match sources some anime just outright fails till i manually match, matches incorrectly, won’t work either way.
No it’s not the filenames. I use Sonarr, they are all very clean.

Edit: i give up figuring out how to make this stay treed, fucking hate reddit/lemmy formatting
The analogy probably gets used for longer than just one week
The problem is that nobody, apparently not even manufacturers anymore know how to fucking aim headlights. Headlights literally have aimer knobs and you are supposed to aim them such that they cut off just before they would blind the majority of vehicles
I have projector LEDs and with a projector lens you can get an extremely practically knife sharp cut off and I have it literally just at the very bottom edge of most small sedan windshield lines. It’s great my headlights are bright as fuck they go all the way from the left shoulder to the right shoulder even on four lane roads but they don’t blind anybody and I’ve had friends help me test that by just kind of passing each other on the street and them saying it was fine and wasn’t bad like other people’s cars.
At some point people started associating the height of your light with the amount of safety, it’s possible to get distance without adding height but everyone’s forgotten how that works
I’m actually using a cheat freezer, it’s brand new too lol. I’m pretty sure the ice-cream gods just hate me
Where are you finding this magic ice-cream. I fucking love soft fluffy ice-cream but everything i buy turns to stone in short order.
This is hilarious because Bluey is a girl
“woman are not in the tournament of my own life”
… Pretty sure my phone just roasted me
It’s true technical analysis does show the opposite, however it’s a technical analysis. AKA Engineers making educated guesses. Which is the reason the FCC allowed a limited test area to run actual trials to verify. And the fact that the FCC has not immediately shut it down implies that they have not been able to confirm what that technical analysis predicted.
Don’t get me wrong I’m no big huge fan of starlink over here, but both AT&T and Verizon have a long standing history of competing through litigation rather than actual service so I’m inclined to give T-Mobile and starlink the benefit of the doubt here.
When everyone was first getting new frequency opened up AT&T and Verizon fought over millimeter wave while T-Mobile mostly ignored it and went for the mid band 600-800mhz. This caused the T-Mobile to have an insane lead over actual 5G deployment you can now get good 5G speeds out in the middle of rural fuck nowhere because you’ll be on the 700 band 12.
Meanwhile millimeter wave is still useless because a piece of rice paper will block the signal entirely so it only works in extremely extremely limited areas of town with direct line of sight and no obstacles to the Tower. So Verizon and AT&T started complaining to the FCC that T-Mobile has too much spectrum and they can’t possibly compete even though they made absolutely no attempt whatsoever during the initial bidding to get any mid-band.
Now we see the same thing here, T-Mobile is getting ahead of everyone Verizon and AT&T are lagging behind they plan to roll out the exact same service, with the exact same frequencies, with the exact same technology, however they are still in the planning phase and starlink/t-mobile is just about ready to activate it so they are complaining
You could try actually reading? The article goes over why they want the exemption. Which is mainly that the fcc’s maximum transmit power for this particular band is both outdated and wildly over cautious. They argue that you can easily transmit with more power without creating any interference and that’s what the trial was demonstrating
She literally can’t, even if she was actually 105% committed to it people seem to forget that overall the president actually has very little power. Without the cooperation of the house and Congress nothing in that vein will ever get done and no matter who gets elected our house in Congress have been split divided and useless for quite a while now
The real question is if it’s got the loads to match it’s size or not
