Bicycle
So I just found out my local Maribyrnong councillor has died of unknown causes in her home. This is quite shocking.
It was meant to be pedalphile, as in bicycle pedals, but I obviously mispelled it and I’ve chosen to stick with the name to constantly shame myself.
It was either that or spokesperson and I didn’t think that was clever enough. Ironically, I’ve ended up looking very stupid and I’m fine with that.
I’m having a pretty good day today. I hope everyone here has at least one moment of joy today.
One deluxe seafood curry with hot tea, please.
Blue ringed octopus. Tiny but deadly.
Welcome to the new era of enshittification where you’ll eventually have to subscribe to access or make posts, and none of it will be searchable on any search engines.
When people find themselves in stress, they will always vote conservative to ensure their own survival. Right now, many young people can’t afford housing, they have to spend more time working than living. This is not surprising.
Not when that package is more than what the company makes.
Hahaha. Even if there WERE lots of women who wanted to be homemakers, there is no way that a family can run on the average single income. So, somebody has been telling diabolical lies to him about the current economy.
I will never stop saying “shiver me timbers”
How fast do download speeds in Mildura get?
But all the lobbying has already happened - for decades - and nothing has changed. Fossil fuel companies have poured in billions over the course of decades, and still are, to counter lobby and spread misinformation to keep the status quo.
You’re only seeing the ‘performative’ protesting in the media and not the lobbying because it’s easy to report on, but in reality this movement is on its last legs. It is THAT level of desperation now.
Do you think they’d still be protesting if the government actually implemented the policies brought forward by climate scientists decades ago?
It depends on whether the game was designed with shareholders in mind or the player. Most AAA games are designed with profit in mind rather than what’s fun. For example, buying skins and doing the same thing on repeat is not fun. Roleplaying as Starship troopers with your friends is fun.
Woke up to the sound of some nutter with his hand on the horn speeding down my 40km/h residential street. Somebody obviously got up on the wrong side of the bed and is dragging the rest of us down with them! 😤
That project was an absolute disaster. Builder lost millions and then substituted everything out for cheaper products. I swear, there’s stuff there that’s not to code.
The biggest travesty of all? Closing off the completely accessible underground pedestrian tunnel, forcing you to wait at the traffic lights.
To The Moon; Once you go through the experience of the story, there’s really no need to replay again.
I wear a capelet in winter and it doesn’t work well with my backpack. I suppose I could design a front wearing pack to carry my laptop.
That’s where automation comes in to do the menial repetitive jobs and the remaining humans take on more complex tasks. Everything will work itself out.
When it becomes really advanced (we could even do it now, actually), we replace all upper management jobs and leaving human work to human workers, e.g. customer service, healthcare, arts and culture etc.
