Haveing burned out and still in the same industry, there are ways you can take to refocus your energy and passion, but it takes time to get to place where you have an opportunity to do so, and most people won’t make it and instead embark on a new career that will, hopefully, not turn out the same.

Not to mention that you can actually rent your place while your application is being considered, and if it not approved, you submit it again.

IMO what the latest generations are missing out on is the absolute randomness of on air TV.

TV used to be flipping through channels until something caught your attention, even if it isn’t or wasn’t what you were in the mood for and absolutely finding it interesting/a good watch.

We caught ourselves this last vacation chilling at our rental watching an old (late 90s) movie we haven’t seen in a long time and it clicked for me: our kids curate thier own watchlists and looking at a thumbnail or reading the description isn’t the same as coming across a show a quarter of the way through trying to figure out whats going on and staying until the end.

A bit of a boomer take, but it’s an experience im close enough to be one to make.

Ogame is one of those free browser games with pay to win mechanics. I play it every few years just to get rid of that build and deploy fleet bug.

NMSky was pretty mellow and I enjoyed it, up until all the planets i discovered and named had thier names reverted back. No cursing or anything obvious as to why, most were Donkey themed since I am a_d0nkey.

Yeah I remember you writing his part of the project… fair warning, work life is generally full of these assholes and consider this some valuable training. Do not let them slide, make sure you’re representing your efforts (fairly, but firmly) keep your name out front, these shitheads will not hesitate to sling mud at you and your work to save themselves.
