In their new house, my parents put those remote controlled fans in the spare rooms we’d stay in. It’s controlled by a switch which is an all-or-nothing. When I stay here holidays (out of state) I prefer to have the ceiling fan on at all times because the room is usually several degrees warmer without it. So to leave the fan on but light off when I’m not in the room, I have to find the remote…that they refuse to mount on the wall in the small case it came in.

Are EPA employees not protected from retaliation? There are tons of laws protecting employees from retaliation for reporting things to agencies like the EPA, DEP, OSHA, etc. Seems really weird the people in those offices wouldnt have the same protections

As I said in a project call where someone was pumping up AI, this is just the latest bubble ready to pop. Everyone is dumping $$ into AI, a couple decent ones will survive but the bulk is either barely functional or just vaporware.

I dig the idea too but at the same time there are privacy concerns, more than half the population wouldn’t know how to use 'em and I’m sure large groups of people would be pissed they’re even there. And how long would it take to have regulations where they’re wifi enabled and cops can subpoena dashcam info.
On the opposite side I genuinely believe you should get a break on your car insurance if you have a functioning dashcam.
In my house, the fans are on 100% of the time in my master bedroom and the living room. I rarely turn on the light in the living room because it’s super open, and the TV is always on, the kitchen is completely opened to the living room and on the opposite side is floor to ceiling windows. My bedroom fan has constant power to the fan so that’s always on and I sure the light switch.
The last few times the fans were not on is when I lost power.
