  • Wow. There are literally zero details in this article and everyone has labeled the cop a murderer. What a thankless, shit job, police. Could it not have been that the officer arrived on scene to an armed individual who then attempted to murder him? He’s conducting a welfare check, the person he’s checking on may not be all there… Both the checker and the checkee are humans and matter here!

Which is where I and the rest of the ACAB folks will probably start to agree - cops shouldn’t be the ones responding to these calls. The hard part is that sending unarmed social workers into dangerous scenarios is not the answer either. Tough problem to solve. World’s not perfect. Give your fellow human the benefit of the doubt, though. Not every cop is a murderous bastard, and thinking that way isn’t helping anyone except tickling your own smug feelings. It’s also a sweeping generalization, something that’s both foolish and frowned upon these days. This an appeal to the humanity in all of you - quit writing off humans with a single acronym. You are removing their humanity and labelling them a monster. We can look to history to learn from the same mistake.

  • No, it’s important to separate ideology from actions. Most, and all reasonable, would agree that fascism is bad. Most people are anti-fascist as is morally right and just.

The novel group of activists that call themselves Antifa have performed inexcusable, terrorist actions in the name of the movement and perverted it’s noble goals. Fascism is bad, as are those that make misguided and foolish mistakes that harm innocents in the name of righteousness.

  • Honestly, it is! It’s big, it’s lumbering, it’s heavy AF. Somehow, with small-arms resistant steel for doors, it’s 2000 lbs lighter than the Hummer EV and I would still have expected the Hummer to have less trouble with that hill. Hard to tell from this video though honestly - an inexperienced off-roader in a Jeep/Raptor/whatever could have had just as much trouble as the Cybertruck did here.

I think Tesla is struggling with the cybertruck. They have a lot of skills and lessons learned from their other vehicles, but a truck is completely different in use case. They seem out of their depth here.

Disclaimer: I’m not an Elon/Tesla hater. I want to see them succeed for a number of reasons. I want to like the Cybertruck. It ain’t there yet.
