If it wasn’t that it’s Nvidia and that you bought this specifically for Linux, I’d have told you to keep the Nvidia, as you did get a significantly better card for the price you paid.

I’ve had more luck with local facebook groups or word of mouth than the internet, for this stuff, in the recent years. This and some group chats are pretty much the only reasons I still have a Meta account…
I have 3 old DreamSpark Windows 7, 8 and 10 Pro licenses I’ve been upgrading/reusing between my main PC and laptop, so I haven’t bothered looking at the state of spoofing the MS activation process in years. Holy crap now it’s literally just on GitHub lol, used to have to download some zip on a random forum or a dodgy torrent…
Raw/natural PB tastes so much better anyways. I can’t buy anything else since I’ve tasted it.
It was slow initially, then it picked up a lot in the last ~5-6 years. My beard is unequivocally gray colored at this point, and my sideburns are graying.
Coincidentally, I had my first son around that time…
I’ve been graying since 23yo to be fair
Fizz often have promos where you accumulate rewards such as monthly rebates after certain milestones. It’s currently costing me $28/mo (+tx) for 20GB after some small rebate. And they do data carry over for a couple of months, so I basically always have 40+GB in bank. I tend to buy my phones upfront when I get a good deal, and keep them until they stop doing the job, or when I don’t or want to change it for whatever reason, I resell/hand down/donate them. Phone plans just keep getting cheaper for me, which is a nice change of pace from most expenses in my life these days… But you have to stop the loop of financing with the Big 3 and getting two year plans, and either financing yourself or ideally saving and paying cash, or some mix of both…
I have 0 merit in this. I just… can. I always could, apparently. My parents organized dance competitions when I was a baby; they used to make me sleep in the DJ’s booth as it was the quietest-ish place in the venue. I slept through all of those like a (literal) baby. I don’t know why or how.
This was a life changer for me. I had an AHI of 69. For those not familiar, AHI means Apnea-Hypopnea Index, which is an average count of “events” per hour. An event is either a complete blockage of respiration for 10s or more, or a drop of 30% or more in blood oxygen level.
After I got my CPAP, I went from sleeping 10-12h and not feeling rested ever, a literal zombie, to sleeping 7-8h regularly and feeling good.
I’m just having trouble calling that an “audit”.
I won’t lie, I’m a bit curious why someone asked someone who has never performed an audit to perform one, what they’re actually hoping to find, and what they plan on doing with the results…
So you basically visualize maps as graphs? You’re the human equivalent of the A* algorithm!
Most of what differentiates a distro from another is one of:
The rest well… it’s Linux.
Parsing absolutely comes with a lot more overhead. Especially since many websites integrate a lot of JS interactivity nowadays, you oftentimes don’t get the full contents you’re looking for straight out of the HTML you’re getting out of your HTTP request, depending on the site.
There’s an episode of Behind the Bastards touching on the subject - “How Conservatism Won”. Not a right-wing resource at all, obviously, but that’s where a lot of the money goes indeed.
I can see both setups being necessary… If im sitting in a chair, I don’t think I’d want my virtual monitors to be following my head while I move, I’d still want them to be roughly around my keyboard and mouse. But using it while walking, they absolutely should be floating around my head, keeping the main one at some fixed angle.
Man, you’re spot on with that last phrase, at least, for me. All I want is a MR headset comfortable enough to wear all day, and to be able to manage virtual windows and/or monitors comfortably in front of me. The rest I genuinely don’t care about. I dream of the day I can replace my big monitor (or multi-monitor setup) with a lightweight pair of fancy goggles that would give me all the monitor real estate I would ever want.
Hmm I’m not seeing them in there? Pretty sure Metro is its own thing (which owns Jean Coutu, Brunet, Super C, etc), and IGA is Sobeys.
If only there was another grocery store than Maxi that sold okay quality stuff at discount prices around here. I’ve got a farmers market and a local grocery store where veggies get down to an interesting price in season, but otherwise I basically have to choose between Maxi, Walmart, or pay considerably more at IGA or Metro - with the wife, dog and two kids, it approaches a hundred more for comparable groceries at the latter. Can’t say I find giving my money to Sobeys or Metro any more attractive either…
Can you require your workplace to pay you in cash or something?
