You can probably use something like
git clean -xdf
To get rid of all the artifacts not tracked by git, in this case it’s virtually the same as deleting the repo and re-cloning it.
NOTE: Make sure everyhing is staged, otherwise that data is gone

If they’re leaving them there, I’d be all for it
I haven’t tried it yet, but GPT4ALL looks intetesting. You can run a number of models, surely not as many parameters as OpenAI’s top tier models, but a decent enough accuracy it seems.
