Awesome you got to see them as well! They got big really fast, I saw them a year later at Alcatraz festival and that was at least 20x bigger and they were headlining IIRC. At that concert they had a canon shooting 666$ bills, I took some snaps for you. Tucked away between my record Ceremony and Devotion, the full live set just as I remember it but recorded in San Francisco.

Similar experience seeing Ghost in de Vooruit in Ghent. Must’ve been 2016, back when they were called Ghost BC. Don’t really follow them much anymore, but that venue was on fire.

• Florence and the machine: amazing voice
• Ocean Wisdom: whole club bouncing up and down
• Macklemore: creates a rarely seen vibe with everyone
• Cypress Hill: such legends even after all these years
• Hooverphonic: insane voice and they are sometimes guided by an orchestra, so much power
• Parov Stelar: with an orchestra as well and my god it’s really something to experience live

A lot of artists sound way different live, I’ve been disappointed as well but these definitely stand out.

It’s great IMO, combined with Samsungs GoodLock suite you can stylize anything about the phone, I used to root my phone for this level of customization.

A while ago I went to Terme 3000 in Slovenia, they had a looped style waterpark ride. Just as crazy as is looks, I guess the tilt angle prevents major injuries? Because that slide has been open for a long time. It took no effort to clear the loop as well.

Edit: For those curious, it’s a pod-style release you can see on the image, the floor disappears under your feet. The green one next to it is one of the steepest in Europe IIRC.

This is an endemic problem on Lemmy

This shows you have little experience in internet fora, small or poorly moderated communities are not a lemmy problem but on every corner of the internet. It also shows you are actively missing the point of lemmy, make your own corner, make it interesting and people will come. You don’t agree with the admins of a community? Others will too so actually put in the effort yourself. But you don’t want that, you want a large platform of your likeminded people. Then use that platform ffs. And meanwhile, slow and steady your niche will have better representation on lemmy as well.

There’s no point in trying to build a community with a very hostile environment for anything that doesn’t align with the very odd hostile-against-everything-not-OSS zeitgeist.

Curate your feed, you own an instance, use it and defederate from instances you don’t like. Don’t like any? Then get off lemmy instead of being so petty because you thought lemmy was an exact drop in replacement for reddit. So please, leave the door open on your way out, so people who have actual value to contribute can come in.

I don’t know about this one, I have ps/xbox brain as well, but putting confirm on the right side somehow always made more sense to me, even though my muscle memory doesn’t agree.

The first was amazing as well, but I always figured its niche type of problem solving and philosophical subjects didn’t really appeal to a wide audience. When the second one was announced I immediately wanted to play it, but I think once again a small target audience is its crutch for mainstream success.

One of my all-time favourite facts is that solar eclipses are actually a very rare thing to happen in space. There is no reason why but our moon just happens to be the right size/distance to have this happen.
