Wu-tang is for the children.

Yes. Diplomacy is good. War is bad. Killing civilians is bad. Abducting people is bad. But diplomacy is good.
I think a substantial number of voters are going to hold their noses and vote for the shitty candidate their party presented.
It’ll be interesting to see how many people stay home compared to prior elections. People are super political and angry for a variety of reasons, but the choices are awful.
Term limits please!
Have a general sense of disappointment and despair as I watch bad decisions be made. My glimmer of hope is that he is an old man in bad shape and he could drop dead at any moment now.
They do, and it works because it is poking fun of the corporate hellscape we live in, which is whimsical. If they become real ads it will make the games less fun to play.
VR makes it even creepier with eye and head tracking. Not only will they present tailored ads, they will know which ones draw your gaze.
Oh hail no.
#1. The CCCP is Soviet Russia. #2. The requirement is that Bytedance sells tiktok (along with it’s proprietary algorithms) to a US based company.
As a US citizen I don’t feel like I get a good ROI on my taxes. It’s a small percentage of upkeep for public things, some below average public education, and a shit ton of weaponry.
That’s not the only new kid on the block. AI and blockchain eat tons of electricity.

There is a whole class of “influencers” that get paid to shill for everything from liquor to policy on every platform. Tiktok, a foreign company, owns the algorithm, so they can promote whatever they want.
This all seems sketchy, but then I recall citizens united and the fact that billions are spent directly purchasing influence in the actual government. They just don’t like some other entity putting their finger on the scale.
I’d much prefer systematic reform where money can’t buy influence and companies (US or otherwise) can’t spy on their users, yet that will never be on the table because of the money and power Facebook and others have.
They have a paid version of the Nova launcher. I am certainly not a lawyer, but it also looks like they have a pretty clear privacy policy https://novalauncher.com/privacy/
I don’t currently use it, but it is a nice alternative if they aren’t doing anything fishy.
I’ve been thinking about it for a long time. I’ll probably never be able to completely separate due to the number of accounts linked to it, but I’ve been eyeing Proton or similar paid privacy focused offerings.
Biden is the major player in setting US foreign policy along with his cabinet and congress.
Bernie Sanders has been vocal about the atrocities committed by Israel, and would have been the nominee twice if he wasn’t fucked over by the party. I feel like he would have done an infinitely better job tackling the problems of the world today.
I’m glad Biden is talking about student loan relief, but overall he has been the disappointment I expected him to be. Yes he is better than the alternative, but that doesn’t mean he is doing a great job.
There is nothing about net neutrality in either the constitution or the bible. Clearly something like this shouldn’t be done.
I’m done with Roku. I have one in every room, but they all need to go.
Some are much more capable of disguising it during the interview process.
In the tech industry around the pandemic there was the great resignation and companies were tripping over themselves to employ as many people as possible. It was great then because you had so many options and they were all seemingly similar job descriptions.
Now the site is shitty and getting a job is terrible. Woo capitalism!
I wish we had a way of leveraging these technologies minus capitalism. AI could solve a lot of problems and offer interesting information to real people, but the greedy bitches at the top are just going to use it as a way to finish off the middle class.
I long for the world of Star Trek where our needs are met and we can focus on our lives and interests, but I am too cynical to think that will ever be allowed by the people who run things and their addiction to profit.
We have some terrible looming problems, this is how they choose to spend their time? I can list them all, but I think we’re all familiar at this point.
They asked to be taken out, what more do you need to go on?
