I live in high humidity, so that’s a big part of my setup. I print from a custom dryer with 4 spools in it, which feed to the printer through PTFE bowden tubes. I have a wifi switch for the dryer that just turns on once in a while to keep the ones sitting there from getting wet by keeping the inside of the dryer, well, dry. I store all my filament in containers with a 3d printed silica containers that go into the spool. I use the “rechargeable” silica beads that change color when saturated. Once in a while, when I see that the beads are turning blue in the containers from opening and closing, I will do a drying session where I dry all the silica containers and the spools for a good while and put them all back into the containers. Can be a bit overkill, but it fully eliminates that factor for me!

It wasn’t my original intention, but ingress made me walk a whole lot!

Lol the für Elise thing is funny. Back in highschool I got a “PC maintenance” credit which had me assigned as support in the computer lab. I made a batch script that ran on startup and showed a warning message saying the hard disk will self destruct and did a countdown from 10 with the motherboard speaker beeping down, fun times

I was just about to comment that this reminded me of the sub7 days. Not sure when it was released, but I definitely used it in 1998

I am someone who should have found a way to legal status through those means by the time when I went to college circa mid 2000s… I am lucky that I found other means, which were pure circumstantial luck… Kids’ livelihood should not be dependent on dumb luck … PS.: my “dumb luck” required an American citizen ally and a shitload of money I got through student loans I am still paying for, and will still be paying for through most of my career, despite being technically in “public service”

Using on a mobile app, not sure what you mean text shortcuts? Like auto complete? At first I thought it might copying the URL from Firefox with an extension that cleans trackers in URLs, but, not typed it manually several times, appears in the comment editor just fine, then shows removed when I post

Wow, that sucks. It has worked for me. I have a zwave lock that I have been running on rechargeables for about 6 years now. Even now with the abuse of a 5 year old kid who learned the pin and insists on locking and unlocking unnecessarily, I only charge the batteries once every 6 months! I thought maybe I was exaggerating, but I have a home assistant automation that alerts me when battery level is 50% or under, which is when I charge, and yeah, just about every 6 months. Maybe it’s because I spent too much on “good” rechargeables? Or not, it might be placebo
