Brandon Sanderson writes amazingly rich fantasy stories an created wild lore heavy worlds in his books. But his books are also behemoths with thousands upon thousands of pages that require some serious time and commitment to read. Maybe not the best for beginners to start getting into fiction.

I’d recommend the Harry Potter books because they start easy and get more mature with each book. Also the story and lore is widely known and liked by a lot of people.

This is actually a pretty hard question. At first I couldn’t think of any show but the more I thought about it the more came to my mind.

I narrowed it down to these three:

• MAS*H
• Hogan’s Heroes
• Dinosaurs

Not because I’m so old but because they where first aired in my home country in the early and mid nineties when I was at my granny’s place a lot of afternoons.

Later I moved town, kinda lost touch to my grandma and wasn’t really there when she got very old and then died.

Looking back it’s really sad that I wasn’t there for someone who spend a whole lot of my childhood with me and in fact was always there for me.

That was me a while ago. Removed pretty much all mods and finally finished the game. All in all it was a great ride but in the end the game was kinda dragging (finished Phantom Liberty first than last quest of main game) and I’m glad it’s over.

Seeing this video I am 100 % convinced that break dance battles are the most wholesome form of direct competition. These two athletes treating each other with respect and fun while competing against each other for Olympic gold ist just amazing.

That’s a fair point and I agree with you that it’s difficult to enjoy soulslike (I am referring to the game’s I played. I’m sure there are exceptions) in short bursts.

But I don’t know whether this is because of their higher difficulty compared to the games you mentioned (which I didn’t play a single one of) or because they’re overall slower games.

They are and in a weird way they aren’t… I didn’t play a WHOLE lot of souls likes. I finished Elden Ring, am pretty far into Dark Souls 3 and Lies of P, played some Dark Souls 1 and 2.

The thing is: Yes, you die very often for sometimes maddening and sometimes silly reasons, but you get better: The mechanics just start to “click”, you earn just enough souls to afford another level up or some piece of equipment, you learn the positioning of you enemies, their attack patterns, timings etc… And slowly and steadily you progress: Around the next corner, to the next boss, you beat the boss. Then you come back to an area you already visited and murder everything…

And if you can’t progress in any way there are summons (players or NPC) that can give you an edge or you try using consumables you forgot about…

Especially the Fromsoftware games have managed to hit that sweet spot where the game is challenging but (most of the times) doesn’t feel unfair or broken. It’s just an amazing piece of game design and you should try it. :)

Doctors still do this, at least in Germany. When you’re a smoker and getting pregnant, your doctor will most likely not try to bully you into quitting, instead they inform you about the risks and recommend you to cut down the smoking to a minimum but they will also acknowledge that you will most likely not overcome your addiction while your body is already under a lot of stress.

Ich befürchte, wir irren uns beide, aber an verschiedenen Stellen.

Es gilt grundsätzlich, dass die “nähere” Regelung anzusetzen ist.

Das ist falsch. Es gilt grundsätzlich erstmal die Normenpyramide, also dass die höhere / allgemeinere Norm vor der individuelleren anzuwenden ist.

Recht hast Du allerdings damit, dass das Günstigkeitsprinzip im Arbeitsrecht dazu führt, dass bei zwei sich widersprechenden Normen die für den Arbeitnehmer günstigere angewendet wird.

Allerdings (und das war für mich auch neu), gilt das Günstigkeitsprinzip immer für einen “objektiven Arbeitnehmer” und es kann nicht subjektiv interpretiert werden. Bei der Länge der Kündigungsfrist wird allgemein davon ausgegangen, dass eine längere Kündigungsfrist für den Arbeitnehmer günstiger ist, sodass diese gilt, selbst wenn im Einzelfall eine kürzere Frist vom Arbeitnehmer als günstiger wahrgenommen wurde.

In diesem Fall ist meine Aussage “BGB sticht AV, es gilt die kürzere Frist” also falsch.

I don’t know Yunohost but I’d recommend you Openmediavault. It’s Debian based, offers tools for managing RAID, Docker, Shares, Users, , Access control Lists, Updates and much more.

So genau weiß man das nicht, aber die Bundesbank schätzt, dass 2022 insgesamt 7 Milliarden Euro von Ausländern ins Ausland überwiesen wurden. Davon 5 Milliarden innerhalb der EU. Von den restlichen 2 Milliarden über 800 Millionen in die Türkei, weitere 400 Millionen nach Syrien. Bleiben also noch rund 800 Millionen Euro, die in den Rest der Welt überwiesen wurden und da ist ja noch nicht mal gesagt, ob es von Asylbewerbern überwiesen wurde oder nicht.

Sprich: Die Bundesregierung hat keine Ahnung, wie viele Überweisungen durch die Bezahlkarte verhindert werden, aber es kann sich nur um Peanuts handeln. Die Bezahlkarte hat mit Vernunft getriebener Politik nichts zu zu tun sondern ist nichts weiter als ein Anbietern an die Rechte.
