I agree with you on all points here. I think we’re probably within a year of age of each other and that was largely my experience too.

It’s because there are more pedophiles than anyone wants to admit and many of those who live a truly blessed life think they can get away with it. What you’re seeing is that this is a big problem and nobody is doing anything to help.
I’d have expected this to happen years ago.
That’s rapidly changing all over the place. The question is now whether you want the suburb life and a commute or to live in the city with amenities. The prices are very similar now.
Lots of states have allowed this. I think most legislators probably got angry at some point and changed it.
This, certainly, won’t go anywhere. Those with some sanity will realize that it’s not worth up using every bit of political capital they have on a nothing burger.
As someone who has hired lots of CS students, the successful ones tend to:
-Have a public GIT repo where they have all of their personal and class projects publicly available. You put this on your resume and potential employers can browse at leisure.
-Have done a student group like robotics or satellite club.
-Have interned somewhere with a name. Doesn’t matter what the job is, just get that name on your resume. Sadly, what you know and can do is less important than where you interned and overworked or unmotivated hiring managers really need bullet points that they can grab on to and then move on.
It has happened before–a former president was probably actually not fully cognizant and kept in hiding for a period of a year or so but his wife managed to fool Congress by sending letters in his name.
You’ve just justified a whole lot of false equivalencies.
Worse, it seems it bothers people just as much to point that out.
There is a lobby for sure, but you’d expect these folks to be on the side of the businesses.
Apparently one of the conspiracies is that it will cause immunity to the bird flu. It’s like a chicken pox party, basically.
I’ve been at this stage for a while. Popcorn out, schadenfreude mode ready, and remaining uninvolved.
LOL I love how people can’t help but viscerally react to that. It’s like you told them that their grandmother sucks.
Hence my reference to libel.
That’s ethics. It has to be proven in court before the press can report on it as fact. Until then, it’s libel to say anything but alleged.
This wasn’t political as much as Fox News might want it to be.
You can be a cruel person and incompetent at the same time.
Is this person verifiably their cousin?not likely.
And that’s not helping.
