Weird, your client probably didn’t update, I am in families beta and it was there.
For an initial release yeah, but no real reason for them settings to not exist (in an advanced section if they are too scary for people), people are making their voice heard in the right channels though, so we just gotta hope Valve implement them.
It works pretty well, but kind of barebones at the moment, a lack of advanced audio and video settings lets it down.
The timeline feature is great though, being able to easily watch back your gameplay in real-time as it records.
They need support for multiple audio tracks, other codecs, resolution options, framerate options, different bitrate options. Also recording to memory absolutely needs to be an option so I’m not wearing down my disk by constantly writing to it.
Being in either beta gives you access to this. It’s right there on the webpage.
Yeah, it should only be held in countries that have the required infrastructure in place, but the whole IOC is corrupt from top to bottom.
Oh no! The poor multi-billion dollar football leagues are losing out on pennies from people who cant afford extortionate subscription services! Quick, take legal action!
Piracy is a service problem.
Yeah… I watched a dev stream and they didn’t even know what they were doing during a planned stream, coincides with how they handle the game I guess.
The game still plays like it came out 10 years ago and it was outdated then even. I don’t know where all that development time went.
As you said. it’s not false, but it is deceptive.
People should be reading the small print though, or in this case an FAQ.
There’s a place for more strict regulations on advertising here though. You shouldn’t be able to make out a product is one thing in the headline, then tell us it isn’t further down the page.

Woo proprietary bs!
Basically, we could give you these features, but we still want to sell you a console.
There’s a big canvas there, I’d certainly try to fill it, I have nothing better to do if I’m stranded anyway and bigger the better for this.
I’d probably have made it a lot bigger myself, but I’m glad it worked out for them!
Read the article then?

Hah. Fair enough
The game has lot of shitty online only mechanics, so while it would make a solid co-op game, it has the live service model and live service games need to keep a playerbase or they get shutdown. These types of games exist for one reason: microtransactions. They want to sell you bullshit.
That’s why they need to compete for playtime. Their next game might not go viral, so losing a massive chunk of your playerbase like this is a problem.
But honestly fuck live service games and people shouldn’t expect anything from them. They are made to milk your wallet.
