a liquid irritant, some of which has been identified as acid
‘Acid’ hardly narrows it down… Often the cops will say it’s ‘acid’ when people throw rancid butter bottles, which obviously are designed to stink, not maim. They’re trying to bullshit the public into believing that protestors are trying to give cops chemical burns. Meanwhile, the cops are using capsicum spray, tear gas and rubber bullets.

For charity, though so 🤷♀️
Fucking Setka. As always, folks, power corrupts. Unions need to be under the control of an active and engaged rank and file base.
Unpaywalled: https://archive.is/BlYeM
The Age / SMH do paywall (circumventably), but I think you get n
free articles a month (tied to browser cookies), and also I think they mark some articles as ‘free’ if they deem it so.
In any case it’s easier to just preempt it and put an archive link in the post body as a matter of habit. That way not only do you not get the inevitable comment about a paywall, but you also always have the archived version if it gets deleted, edited, or the link goes down for whatever reason (temporarily or permanently).
Details here on archive links if you’re not familiar: https://aussie.zone/comment/7041425
Say some paywall is dissing your fly-girl, you just give 'em one of these:
https://archive.is/<YOUR URL HERE>
You can also try https://12ft.io/<YOUR URL HERE>
and https://web.archive.org/<YOUR URL HERE>
.
Make sure you post the link back in the comments to save everyone else that little bit of time 🙂
Another thing you can try is opening the link in private browsing mode or clearing your cookies for the site. Either both these will work, or neither will, so you don’t need to try both. Clearing cookies might wipe your ‘free article counter’ and mean you don’t need to worry about it for a little while, but opening a link in private browsing mode is often quicker, so it’s a matter of preference.
I hope this helps!
Maybe we should make a bot to post an explainer like this? Or the bot could just post a variety of archive links in a comment automatically?
There’s no label for it, but it’s indicated by two charred, smoking posts where the sign used to be.
Same 😆
HP, as well as being hostile to its customers, is also complicit in the Israeli occupation, and is a major target of the BDS movement: https://bdsmovement.net/boycott-hp
Don’t buy HP products.
There are new claims being published.

Yeah, I’m surprised it hasn’t been deleted for being against the rules.
Here’s a recent article from an actual news organisation: https://www.euronews.com/2023/11/27/israel-stealing-organs-from-bodies-in-gaza-alleges-human-right-group
And their MBFC page: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/euronews/
It plans to open 900 new stores in the U.S. and 1,900 in some of its bigger international markets like Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and Australia. The company said it plans another 7,000 stores in other international markets; more than half of those would be in China.
I think it’s just the two feelings, but in quick succession. Like an emotional dipthong. Or maybe even just simultaneously? Doesn’t have to be a unified thing.
But I guess, ‘tragicomic’, or ‘funny with pathos’.
Ain’t nothin’ but a heartache

The headline on the article page is (currently) “Boy, 16, fatally stabbed at shopping centre in Melbourne’s west”, so I don’t know why the share-preview headline has ‘allegedly’
