GRANITE FALLS, N.C. (WBTV) - A Granite Falls pastor accused of having child sexual abuse materials has now been federally charged.
Ashley James Crouse was arrested November 3, 2023 following an investigation based off a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The tip first came in April 2023 from the cloud storage service Dropbox, which reported one of its users possessed child pornography.
He put it on Dropbox? Its a good thing there’s so much overlap between pedos and dumbasses so we can keep catching these people.
Only the dumb ones get caught just like at all levels of illegal activity.
There are plenty of smart criminals you will never hear of because they live to be old geezers who die naturally.
“I need to save all of this reprehensible and highly illegal material. Let me put some of it in my house … some of it on my church/work computer … and some of it I’ll give to someone else to hold on to for me. But I’ll always lock my office door, so it’ll be fine.”
Thankfully a lot of these creeps have computer skills the equivalent of putting a “Not Porn” folder on their desktop.
