It is dark in a pocket.
I had a dream last night that Robespierre came out of the shadows and won the election. I’m not sure it was a nightmare.
But there are signs, publicly and privately, that the former president and his team are worried that their opponents’ descriptions of him as a racist and a fascist may be breaking through to segments of voters.
No there is fucking not. Trump’s own silence about it is deafening. A couple of campaign lackeys trying to spin it away in “a statement” and “a fucking tweet” doesn’t even rise to the level of lip service.
You know what every media outlet would be clamoring for any other candidate to do in the wake of this?
Make a public statement about it, directly from the candidate, not from ‘campaign lackeys.’
The failure of Trump to make such a statement, while vile, is sadly expected. The failure of anyone to demand it is mind-boggling.
I hate Pacific Northwest Nazis.
I thought this sounded familiar, it’s a month old.
That’s fair, but I was catching this from the article:
Professor of law Melissa Murray, a constitutional law expert and co-host of the Strict Scrutiny podcast, appears to agree.
“So, the plan is to have an Electoral College tie (which will likely require contesting swing state vote counts),” she writes. “A tie in the Electoral College will then require a vote in the House of Representatives, where the GOP, led by Speaker Johnson, has a (thin) majority…”
I seem to recall that at least some boxes in AZ have fire suppression. It’s not impossible.
Maybe not about having congresspeople objecting. They’re going to try and engineer an electoral college 269-269 tie.
It’s a fucking longshot, and if they still think it’s a plan worth putting effort behind, that speaks to what they think their chances of winning above board are.
I stayed at an Airbnb …
That’s why.
I could see a cunning propagandist trying to get a strong foothold early in order to “claim territory.” Remember voat?
Oh please, nobody forced them to pee in bottles. They could have left.
They chose to pee in bottles.
I have to think there’s something going on behind the scenes to organize a schism in the GOP, no matter what happens in this election. I think it’s unlikely that Liz Cheney and people like her will be able to wrest control of the current Republican party away from the fart sniffers, so they’re going to have to split and make a new party.
The outstanding question is “Why haven’t they done this already?” Maybe there’s just not enough solid support to pull it off ahead of the election, surely because there are a lot of people who are sniffing the farts out of fear, and they don’t want to burn that bridge yet.
Pay real close attention after this election. Lindsey Graham is going to show his other face again, and a whole bunch of other politicians will, too. Yes, there needs to be a path to redemption, but that path is going to have to include resignation for the likes of Graham, Vance, McConnell, anyone who supported Trump, then very much didn’t, and then supported him again. Such people cannot be entrusted with elected office.
Estate companies will take the “good stuff” to auction, and house sale the rest for a few weekends. After that, there are businesses whose sole thing is buying up the remnants for their resale/thrift store. Think Big Lots but for dead people’s stuff.
He’s courting the sovcit vote.
What if I’m unable or unwilling to see anything past the end of my own nose?
Ted Cruz likes jerking off to images of JD Vance fucking couches.
While imagining himself as the couch?
WaPo endorsed other candidates for office in this very election cycle. “All of a sudden” when the editorial desk wants to endorse Harris, it’s “OOOHHHHHHH NOOOOOOO WE HAVE TO BE INDEPENDENT!”
