I’m trying not to read too much into the fact that Reddit is down right now, but I’ve noticed pages have been increasingly slow to load lately, and I get a lot of messages about server errors even just voting on comments. It seems like they’re barely even keeping the lights on. Anyone else notice the same thing?

    They are purposefully slowing down old.reddit.com. Expect a lot of refugees when that happens.

    Anyway, infrastructure mismanagement is typical for late-stage enshittification. Value of the company goes down, and execs who have sold their shares high are quietly stealing equipment from the datacenter to get some value out of it.
