Completely irrelevant.
Completely irrelevant.
I think I’ve only played a couple of games where I prefer graphics mode. The ray tracing mode for Doom Eternal on Series X is a good example; it runs excellently and the ray tracing actually makes a visible difference. I use the quality mode in Ghostrunner 2 because there isn’t really much difference in frames between it and the high frame rate mode. I use quality in Final Fantasy XV because the game’s performance mode is staggeringly ugly and blurry.
I pretty much only use mine to play the exclusives since I don’t have a good PC and watch films on 4K blu-rays. My Series X gets far more use (more storage, more games in my library since I’ve been using Xbox since the 360 and a more comfortable controller).
Only if you haven’t got a PC.
I hope that series comes back someday.
I don’t see the point in this. I’m already planning to get a PC (and a Radeon 7900 XTX will always outperform a PS5), so it’s just more money for no benefit.
I haven’t heard that term before, but it’s way better than character action. Plus, it actually fits for games that use similar mechanics but are technically different genres, like ULTRAKILL.
They are developing a game at the moment, Deadlock. Lots of footage and a dev build leaked a few months ago.
What are EA doing with Valve? The lawsuit this came from is between Wolfire Games and Valve; far as I can tell, Valve and EA work together on some stuff.
Darwin Award winner spotted.
Who still burns discs (outside of retro gamers) in 2024, let alone Blu-Rays? They aren’t killing the whole format.
This is not as big a deal as you think. Blu-Ray production itself isn’t ending, they just aren’t making any more rewritable Blu-Rays. Most people aren’t going to be burning stuff to Blu-Rays. You’ll still be able to buy Blu-Rays if you want a physical copy of a film.
I was playing though Final Fantasy XII, GTA3 and Vice City before my PS2 broke. I’m currently trying to beat Sonic 2 and Strider on my Mega Drive.
Final Fantasy XIII is an odd case because the emulator is Xbox Backwards Compatibility. It’s apparently better than the PC port.
This one is probably Linux given that it uses the same CPU as their other Linux handhelds.
Unfortunately stopping CSAM isn’t the point. The point is eroding privacy and pretending it’s protecting kids.
The Force Awakens is pretty meh itself, but we were not prepared for what was coming. It feels as foreboding as rewatching Game of Thrones S5 or S6 and knowing that the deteriorating writing will only get worse.
Can this trend of thin tech just end already? It’s pointless.
It was a PS1 emulator and one of the best ones. Shame about the developer.
