This is a great thing.

Hi there.
And no. I haven’t been aske dto pay for any updates.
Tokyo has entered the chat.
There is a disenshittified version of google out there, for now at least: udm14.com.
Every time I’ve used it, it’s for info on a home improvement project. Being that my browser blocks ads, they get nothing from my interactions.
Yup.
My last flight a year ago was so bad I’m just going to drive from now on. I don’t care if I have to take an extra day of PTO.
This is the way.
I deleted a year ago and can count on one hand the number of times I’ve used reddit since.
FEED THAT BABY IMMEDIATELY YOU MONSTER.

It’s glorious, and as more people are driven off Windows by MS’s shady practices, Linux is only going to get better and better.
I’ve been on Linux Mint for two weeks now AND I LOVE IT. It feels like computing from back in 2010, just the way I like it.
That’s definitely going to be a problem for them, yes, because it’s also going to drive a ton of traffic to Linux and Linux is going to get even better.
Glad to hear it!
For me it’s been hit or miss. I’m fairly tech savvy and able to work through things with the info on Proton DB, but I’ve had several games that just simply weren’t compatible.
Respectfully, it’s not.
The user departures, and response to further enshittify, have driven their stock price into the ground.
Yup. It’ll depend on how they handle Recall at the institutional level.
It’s a given that hospitals and law firms will have to turn it off, as they’re required by law to honor privilege. We’ll see what choices they make.
I find the nosedive in Twitter’s stock price these last few years encouraging. It seems for many there is a red line.
That’s usually what I think too, but after watching how Twitter’s gone to shit since the two big user departures, I think this could legitimately affect Microsoft’s bottom line.
Same, doing what I can within my own little slice of the world.
I actually switched to Linux Mint two weeks ago and do 95% of my computing on that OS. (And ANYTHING requiring privacy) I’m a gamer, so I opted for a dual boot, and the only thing I use windows for is playing my games now.
Nice!
I did not, though my facebook is deleted now. I just got sick of how it was making me miserable every time I opened it, so a year ago I nuked it.
I still have an instagram for my business, but once I have Cara up and running, I’m going to delete all the content there as well.
Don’t just sign a petition.
Delete your facebook and instagram.
They say that every election year.
Of course.
I just turn off my socials for a bit and it’s all good.
Yes you can, and should, ignore how crummy the world is sometimes. Outside of the good you can do with your own two hands, there’s nothing you can do to change it unless you’re a billionaire and a legislator will actually take your phone calls.
Might have been a bad idea to just let the bots run rampant on his platform.
