Kagi is amazing. I absolutely love its’ filtering features and I use that forums toggle all the time. It feels like such a more relevant experience for me. I tried it out with the 300 searches limit, but that wasn’t even close to enough, turns out I easily use 4 times that in a month and even though it’s not cheap it feels like it’s worth it.
There always has to be at least one asshole, but that is everywhere you go on the internet. Just downvote, block if you want and move on.
Because there’s only so many vegetables and so many ways inspiration will help you on how to prepare them. Especially if you care about protein intake, it can be quite a challenge with just vegetables.
Plus that’s a can that lasts forever and is easy to transport.
I like variation, protein and ease of use. I’ll take 3 please and thank you.
I remember the hype around the division, it looked so cool and tactical. Then the game came out and every enemy was a bullet sponge. Instantly killed any interest I had in it.
I grew up and decided that games have a place in my life to give experiences, you grew up and decided that they are a source of burst distractions. I guess age has nothing to do with it and it’s just about personal preference.
Well, I guess your are right that everything is derivative. I also think some things are more alike than others and also some markets are more saturated than others. When Half-Life came out it was in a saturated market of FPSs but it also revolutionized the market. When Portal came out no one could compare it to anything other that a student project. Half-Life Alyx is still considered the no 1 most polished and complete game in the VR space. We’ll see the impact that Deadlock will have I guess.
I percieve them as different to your run of the mill EA or Ubisoft, so I expect more from them. That’s on me I guess. I’m not angry though, just disappointed.
The point stands that it’s derivative. I’m convinced Valve can do better.
That’s the point I’m reaching as well. The internet as a mass of disconnected sites feels dead. Any attempt to look up information goes to pages that follow the same formula and feel very AI generated even with errors and unconsistencies typical for AI. What is the point of the open net anymore? The only value I feel like I’m getting is in specific trusted platforms or sites. It’s a sad state that we’ve reached.
Kagi has all these options as well but everything can be disabled in the settings.
It’s a Linux problem in the sense that like you say, the X window manager hijacked the middle mouse button for a different functionality way back in the day and the browser developers, and others as well, just respect that decision by default, even if it never made any sense. Many people are now used to it and prefer it like this so there was always resistance to changing it to how windows does it and just drop the whole mouse wheel does text manipulation thing.
If and until that changes to the sensible way, at least people like me have the configurations to fix it so I guess it could be worse.
Auto-scroll by middle click is not disabled by default in windows and never was. Not in browsers, not I’m PDF apps, not in file explorers, not in word processors. If this were a disabled by default feature no one would use it. It’s in linux that you have to muck about with configuration to get it back to normal, which is using a navigation button on your pointing device to work for navigation instead of text manipulation. You shouldn’t have to configure something to make it make sense.
You middle click in a web page and it gives you the scroll orb instead of pasting text in the selected text box? Last time I checked that was not default behaviour, but possible with configuration.
You lose the auto-scroll button, which I use all the time and it only makes sense to be on the scroll wheel. I dispise what Linux does to this button. 🤷
Middle mouse click is so much more useful as the navigation tool that it is. Using it for something completely unrelated like pasting is degeneracy.
Actually, any text manipulation assigned to the mouse is completely ignoring the functionality of the 2 normal input devices on a normal computer.
Hope to see another single player experience from Valve, doesn’t matter if it’s HL or something else, just don’t make it multiplayer focused.
The woman is also a badass in her own way and people memed on how cool she moved as well.
They have all the talent, budget and time they would ever need. No amount of hype will ever detract from a good game. Hell even cyberpunk managed to stay afloat after a disastrous launch and will be remembered positively by people that played the patched versions. I don’t believe the hype thing either.
Its as easy as looking up the teardowns or scans of the most popular VR headsets. They have their batteries in the front.
