The pirate voice in my head nearly ran out of breath singing the post title.
It does seem to be his whole gimmick, lol
I’ll see if I can find any that break the formula.
$4.99/month. It’s essentially just a cup of coffee!
I think a bunch of others gained some footing in the market when Raspberry Pi had supply chain issues during/after COVID. When I last shopped for a Pi, I saw a ton of other options.
Every time a company goes public, they become more and more profitable until the only way to continue on that trajectory is to worsen their own product.
Think they’ll still be selling the Pico for $4 or the Zero for $15 after they’re reporting to shareholders?
Frame it with an engraving telling the story. That’s an awesome piece of history to have, but you would definitely need to display it in some way that immediately communicates “this is historical”.
Oh yeah, so it’s just junk.
If it were actually from WWII, I’d say there’s no reason not to hold on to a piece of history, but if it’s just neo-nazi garbage? I agree with the others saying modify it or toss it.
We desperately need it if we want reasonable candidates again.
Exactly. I was just using the conservative side as my example because the post topic was already covering the progressive side.
This is the current state of US politics - it’s more about who you’re against than who you’re for, and I firmly believe this is the reason why no scandals seem to matter anymore.
On the conservative side, they get a steady stream of content telling them how horrible Biden and the Democrats are, so anyone with a heartbeat and an ® next to their name is fine. It’s probably how Trump of all people became the party leader.
I’d press it a few times. In the end, I think I’d care way more about never working again for the rest of my life than being a guy.
I like using a mall as a really basic analogy for the shared social space:
There are multiple entrances to the mall through various shops, but once you’re inside, you can go visit wherever you want.
I’d hate that as an employee. Imagine knowing that every time you talk to a coworker, it’s recorded. Every time you sit for a few minutes to reset, it’s recorded. Every time you check your phone, it’s on camera.
Nightclubs in the 1930s were very different than what we think of as a nightclub now.
I stole this, and reverse image search isn’t being helpful…
I had to deal with their T&S for my account being locked once. It was indeed a nightmare.
I consider myself pretty reserved and knew that I had never said or shared anything even remotely problematic, so I appealed, and they denied the request without even looking at it, then refused to respond to further questions (or even tell me what I supposedly did). It took me publicly complaining about the whole ordeal on social media for about a week for someone at discord to notice, look at my case, and finally realize a mistake had been made and unlock my account. They still never explained what happened.
I think it’s much less intimidating to new users now compared to when I joined last year. The barrier to entry has been reduced significantly.
There are tons of active communities now, mobile apps that work great (this is a big one), and many more tools to block content that you don’t want to see.
Discord support is the absolute worst. I hope to never have to deal with them again.
Bemoaning the difficulty?
…but that’s the point.
