I put funny tags on accounts like this so that I can easily identify them. I can’t repeat this account’s tag as I wouldn’t want the operator to feel like I’m attacking their character, but your experience has been mine as well.

They’re fantastic! Ours is a tub shroom.
They’re fantastic until your 9 year old takes the rubber plug with hair in it and drops it down the drain.
We’re waiting on a plumber to come snake it out. However, that aside, they really are fantastic at catching the hair. 100% recommended.
Also, talk to your kids about not dropping shit into the drains (hair, objects, and/or shit) and make sure they know it’s not a bottomless void.
Education is important 😂

This was a clever supply chain attack. I say clever because I don’t think anything like this and at this scale has happened before, but due to it being lethal it’s crazy scary. I’m not condoning it or praising it. As a cybersecurity professional we usually see people infiltrate the supply chain of code to inject their own, not actually putting explosives into communication devices and then using the network to remotely detonate.
Let me repeat that. There is no polar vortex in the northern hemisphere right now!
Not with that attitude!

Thanks for posting, I always find meteorology fascinating and hungrily read up info posted from people like yourself. Please keep doing it, us buffoons that aren’t trained really rely on people like you helping to cut through misinformation when it comes to weather and climate.
Not if you’re a regular here. And by regular, I mean even in the last 24 hours 😊
Edit - they’re even next to each other
Thank you for giving me the first belly laugh of my day. 🤣

This is a really important point, thank you for raising it!
Thankfully my kids aren’t a/the Lockpicking Lawyer!
When I was growing up in the 80s and 90s my Grandfather who served in WW2 kept guns in several closets and under two beds at least, and I also knew where the ammo was located. I knew to never mess with them but times sure have changed.
Nowadays I lock mine up responsibly and never loaded. I’ve not started giving my kids lessons though, since they’re not even 10 yet. We’ve talked about safety though. I think that education is super important.
I’ve thought about one of those hidey wall shelves but am a bit scared to have anything quick access that they could stumble upon.
Maybe we should keep destroying EPA protections in the name of corporate profits without paying attention. Surely it’s not an issue this generation will ever have to deal with. The idiot new generations can figure it out later. Am I MAGA’ing right?

I’m on board with this approach. If I may suggest an additional step - perform a quarter turn on the vertical axis after insertion.
My dad used to run into him regularly when he worked as airport security in the 70s. He was a fantastic kind man with an incredible sense of humor. My dad had lots of good stories about him that he used to tell me about. So, another data point to back up your thinking.
