Cook more food than you need for your dinner and take the leftovers. Make a salad (tons of options for them), make a sandwich. You don’t have to eat canned soup, make some nice homemade soup and freeze a bunch of individual servings to grab and take. The possibilities are endless.

I’m still flabbergasted at how badly this “weird” label has affected him and Vance. OTOH, my not being able to even conceive of how their minds work is reassuring. But I love how they can’t get over it. I hope Tim can come up with another one.

None of that makes sense as a truthful story. First I don’t think a grandmother would use that “want to suck dicks” phrasing when speaking to her grandson, but also the laughing at him and saying “fucking idiot, how would you know you’re gay?” is in direct contradiction to the later “it would be OK, god would still love you” line. Those two things wouldn’t come from one person. I think it’s a cobbled together story of things he heard from different people at different times, presented as a conversation with his grandmother.

Turn your head to one side, looking to your right (or left) in line with your shoulder, then take the pill as you normally would while you stay in that position. It will slide down much more easily than if you were facing forward.

If Trump gets back in office, this is how it will be everywhere. He and his minions will do whatever the hell they want and nobody better stand in their way, rules and laws will be meaningless (in both ways–they don’t have to obey them and you can be arrested even if you don’t break any).

I agree, I’ve voted in every election since I was old enough to vote. I’m pretty old so that’s a lot of elections. I wish civics was still taught in school. We were taught that voting is a civic duty and that you have to constantly defend your rights or you will lose them. Anyone who doubted that can no longer deny it or be shocked at how quickly it can happen.

The thing is, whether Harris would win without your vote or not, you still have to vote for all the other offices too, so we can have a Dem majority in the House and Senate, and more Dems at your State level in the legislature, governor’s office, AG, election board, school board, etc. Those things are just as important as POTUS. Not to mention that even in states Harris winds up losing, the margins need to be made as small as possible to show how much support she really has in all states (very important for both parties to see this–it impacts what policies get implemented, what they think they can get away with), also for future funding allocation of candidates by the parties, etc.

Bottom line is that voting is tremendously important to do, no matter what! Not voting just has too many negative consequences.

Don’t worry about it, very few people will vote for this Russian stooge and those who do were never going to vote for Harris anyway.

I have never bought an appliance or physical product that requires an app to use, and I never will until our society has deteriorated to the the point where there is no alternative to that in order to get by in it. It’s almost at that point already with smartphones but for now it’s still possible to get by without one.

If anyone is going to exploit a “no tax on tips” law, it’s going to be high-income lawyers and hedge fund/high finance people, and the IRS will lose vastly more tax revenue from them than what they’d lose from service workers’ tips.

So while it may sound nice, it’s just another avenue for exploitation by the rich and not a good idea, Think about it: it’s Trump who brought up the idea (which ofc some advisor gave him since he doesn’t do ideas), and who do you think they are trying to benefit? Not service workers, we can be sure of that.

If we could just get rid of stupid tipping culture and pay a living wage that doesn’t depend on tips but is accounted for in the prices, then we could also not track and therefore not tax tips, since they’d rarely be given, and even if they are they’d be in smaller amounts than the usual 15-20% or whatever, since the customer is not feeling a burden of providing their living but just wants to add a small monetary recognition for especially good service.
