The first human recipient of a Neuralink brain implant has shared new details on his recovery and experience of living with the experimental assistive tech.
If you watch the interview, he says he can’t do that for extended time because he can’t sit in the chair for that long without getting sore spots, and he has body spasms which put him out of place which would require someone else to put him back into a playable spot.
He can do this with neuralink in his bed, despite the spasms that change his position.
Edit: that one might be different though, the tongue one he has is part of his chair
Using a tongue controller is much more difficult, and requires alot of programming per application to use.
Infact, many quadriplegia people who try the tongue controller often give up on using it because it is very hard to use, and to most not worth the effort. Fuck even the dude with the neuralink stated he couldn’t use it for long.
But you don’t care about him and his life, you care about Musk and his life.
This patient has a controller built into his brain. It’s literally an extension of him/part of him.
His QOL with his neuralink implant is FAR greater then what the tongue controller could ever offer. But because Musk is a dickweed that’s bad. This dude should just use the tongue controller because Musk is bad.
Tongue controllers have existed for a very long time.
