    In his written order, the judge warned Trump that gag violations are punishable by up to 30 days in jail. Merchan:

    Mr. Trump, it’s important to understand that the last thing I want to do is to put you in jail. You are the former president of the United States and possibly the next president, as well.

    It would be crazy if this flaw in our judicial system was one any oligarch could exploit, and not just this one guy who is in the news all the time.
