Modern vaccines with mercury used in the 3rd world are not considered to be a high dose. The multi-dose versions of some trivalent and quadrivalent influenza vaccines can contain up to 25 micrograms of mercury per dose from thiomersal. 50 micrograms/litre of blood is considered dangerous. But the point being examined here is perception. Not actual danger.
