    It was the old image of Chinese products (edit: also services), but recently their quality has increased significantly. On top of that, the price is much lower than alternatives.

            Sweatshop is probably true, but I’m telling you, you just cannot resist the price as a consumer. Tooth filling for 29 HKD (3.7 USD), you just can’t beat that.

            Hongkonger are extremely realistic and practical. Price low? Use it

        do you have concerns about buying American stuff? I mean the usa just got outed running an antivax campaign to kill Asian people while hoarding vaccines.

          Yes. I hate consumerism and our corporate overlords. I hate any World Super Power™, real or imaginary.

          It’s a team sport, but we’re all the disposable pawns.

            Chinese are humans too. They have a life, have things to pay for, and most of them are not even associated with the government.

              Then don’t buy things that are owned by the ccp. I’m not against them. I’m against their government, and unfortunately, we can’t do anything about the ccp except not buy as much as possible from China.
