CCTV. Ironic China Central Television has the same acronym as closed-circuit TV.
My Nokia phone from 2 decades ago had more pixels.
We would want the hyperloop to enter city centers.
Not necessarily. There could be connecting transportation so the hyperloop doesn’t go into the city centre. Or, we can build new cities around the hyperloop.
In a few decades, we will have an extremely advanced version of VR and AR, people will meet virtually without travelling physically.
When should an organisation stop complying with totalitarian governments? First they stop the extensions.
What if they request for Firefox to add site filters, or else?
What if China demands similar bans for extensions related to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet etc?
It can go on and on. Some baselines should not be negotiable.
How else would you explain Mozilla’s decision?
Still Mozzila Corporation seem to be trying to earn more money by staying in the Russian market.
I think restricting yourself to certain website for optimisation isn’t necessary.
It is like saying you would avoid driving a city car to the motorway because it is more efficient on city roads.
Are you browsing with a Raspberry Pi Zero? Otherwise the memory usage impact should be minimal.
Yeah because I care enough to speak against tankies. Thanks.
When I am tired of a post, I either downvote or ignore the post.

I can’t quite decide whether to consolidate LW and Fedia for the community. LW has more subscribers, but Fedia is a little more active.
I’m also thinking of asking active users of !firefox@lemmy.ml to post on LW instead.
That’s good news. I will move back to Photon when that happens. Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks. Photon is decent but I would use Voyager instead out of principle. Would you add v.lemmy.cafe?
I want to use Mbin, but all Mbin instances are federated with tankie instances, including hexbear.
And Mbin doesn’t make it easy to see user/community instance.
They learn from who they are worshipping. Exactly how the CCP control the narratives.
Not sure what solutions you suggest
That’s why I included this section in my post:
And the discussions for finding/creating alternative communities on other instances: https://lemmy.world/post/16235541
Yeah. Please note that phtn.app dev refused to change the default instance. I have moved back to Voyager since.
Edit: this has been resolved now. Photon has changed default instance to lemmy.ee
Encourage users to create content on Lemmy communities hosted on non-tankie instances.
